ReikiWhat is Reiki£25.00 approx 30 mins introduction The word Reiki is the Japanese term which translates to Universal Life Energy Reiki is a non-invasive therapy that can enhance all other treatments whether allopathic or complementary, it is not affiliated with any religious dogma or based on any belief, faith or suggestion. Reiki LineageHazel graduated in 2002 as Reiki Master in the tradition directly passed down from Mikao Usui.
Reiki TreatmentDuring a Reiki Treatment fully clothed client’s can either lie on a couch or sit in a chair. Hazel will lightly lay her hands on specific points for approximately 5 minutes on each point to allow the harmonising Reiki energy to radiate from her hands, thereby activating the client’s body's natural ability to heal itself by freeing blocked energies and negativity. The energy flow is very subtle, experiences of colours, heat, coolness or tingling sensations are common. As the energy has a way of naturally flowing to the area of the body where it is most needed, no two Reiki treatments will be the same. Treatment generally results in deep relaxation and a sense of well-being, with an overall physiological benefit of the equivalent of three to four hours of sleep. Benefits of Reiki
Because Reiki can be used for such a wide variety of different ailments, it is now practised in hospices, hospitals, prisons, GP surgeries, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres, palliative care, private health centres, nursing homes, HIV/Aids centres and animal rescue centres. History of Reiki Japanese Dr. Mikao Usui (1862 – 1926) rediscovered a system of natural healing and harmonizing energy which he named Reiki, meaning ‘universal life force energy’ because it is inexhaustible and does not tire the practitioner. Just for today do not anger Dr. Chujiro Hayashi, a Reserve Officer of the Japanese Navy, eventually succeeded Dr Usui and he founded and a Reiki hospital in Tokyo. Mrs Hawayo Takata visited from Hawaii to receive healing and consequently learned the system. After the end of WWII she visited the USA where she introduced Reiki to the western world and between 1960 – 1980 trained between 22 – 28 Masters. Reiki TuitionThe only way to acquire Reiki is through a process of “attunements” carried out by a qualified Traditional Reiki Master - Reiki treatments are not Reiki attunements. Anyone can be attuned and learn the practices, principles and dynamics of Reiki, no special qualities or qualifications are necessary. Reiki offers greater independence - taking direct responsibility through having a tool to treat oneself and others for healing, harmony & balance on all levels. Stepping on to the Reiki path begins a remarkable journey of self-discovery, development, healing and love for yourself and others. Reiki Level 1Duration: 2 Days (One day seminars at £100.00 per child are offered for children under the age of 15 years who have at least one parent/guardian attuned to Reiki.) This course is the foundation level of the Reiki system where four ‘attunements’ or activations are given in order for the student’s hands to access and connect with Reiki for the remainder of their life.
From the first day of the Reiki seminar the student is able to connect with Reiki theirself. Reiki Level 2Duration: 2 Days At least 2 months should have elapsed since the Reiki I seminar in order to allow the harmonisation process time to facilitate the changes initiated in Level 1 and for the student to get to know this subtle energy by using it regularly on theirself and others. Level Reiki II is a seminar on symbols and how to use them to accelerate the power of the Reiki the student already has. Subjects taught are:
Reiki 3ADuration: 3 Days At least 6 months should have elapsed since the Reiki II seminar. Reiki 3A (Advanced Reiki Practitioner Level) is for continued personal development, not for teaching to others. There are some who would like to use Reiki at a profound level without wanting to give any Reiki seminars or lectures. Even though they do not teach, the Advanced Reiki Practitioner takes on a responsibility as an ambassador for Reiki.
Before a Reiki 3A seminar the candidate is interviewed to ensure that he or she is Reiki Master TeacherDuration: Minimum of 2 year The decision to teach and contribute to the further spreading of Reiki is not just one more step on your Reiki Journey. It is an interesting and rewarding path, but the decision to become a Reiki Master (RM) is not one to be taken lightly as it demands a level of full commitment to the Reiki way of life - not only for yourself, but for others too. The Role of RM is an important one. You will need not only knowledge and experience in this role, but also empathy, insight, love, compassion and a genuine interest in others. If you decide to complete the Reiki Master Teacher (RMT) level then your role extends to not only developing yourself spiritually but developing others’ spiritual lives. The RM candidate is interviewed to ensure the applicant is ready for this significant step. Candidates require at least one year of training to fulfil all the requirements to be able to teach Reiki Levels I and II.
